In a society so dominated by the media, so interdependent, so fast moving, we are constantly finding new expressions to describe the current state of the economy and society that warn about the future. Companies such as ours need to be alert to what is happening around us. We need to understand our partners’ ambitions, the needs of our companies and the impact of our business on society and the environment. With this information updated at every step, we should - indeed, it is our duty to - set out strategies to achieve success in the present while ensuring a viable future. The theme selected for the 2008 Sustainability Report is precisely that: the Future. Because it is the future that we believe in and invest in. We are confident that our hard work and capabilities will enable the company to achieve success and share our confidence in the future with our shareholders, employees, partners and society in general.
The results of this course of action are extremely positive and confirm that our vision and commitment have enabled ENSULMECI to achieve sustained growth. The company has modernised itself, acquired new capabilities, and diversified into new areas and activities. We are acknowledged today as a trusted partner and our achievements are widely recognised.
